'Cybersmart' refers to being smart and responsible using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). These technologies may include computers, iPads, internet, email and other online tools.

We live in a digital age where people, including children, communicate using a range of Information and Communication Technologies. As a result of this increased online communication, there needs to be a raised awareness of being Cybersmart to navigate issues that families, schools and communities now face.

At West Melton School, the internet is a powerful educational tool. We are committed to ensuring that our students learn to use this tool in a smart, responsible and safe way. This is a shared responsibility between home and school to ensure the online safety of the next generation.

As part of this commitment, we provide
• a Cybersmart Curriculum throughout the school
• access to our West Melton School Online Safety Hub
• free access to the Qustodio Parent Control app - https://www.qustodio.com/en/
